Baby

Baby was out running in the woods and went missing.

When she came back she was limping badly and so her owner brought her in to see us. She had a small wound at the front of her shoulder and was in severe pain and in shock. After stabilising her, we made a radiograph of the shoulder and examined the wound. The tip of a foreign body was just visible

This is what it turned out to be:

It was a 12cm long stick!!!!

We removed the stick, flushed the wound copiously and inserted a drain and treated her with antibiotics and painkillers. She is now back to her old self.
