Dotty
came to the practice feeling very poorly. She normally had a healthy appetite,
but had gone completely off her food and had started vomiting. She became quiet
and withdrawn, not the usual bouncy dog that the Hunt family were used to.

IV
fluids and antibiotics were given but her vomiting continued. X-rays revealed a
possible blockage in her intestine and the decision was made to perform an
Exploratory Laparotomy on Dotty. We found an area of the jejunum that was
inflamed and damaged and when we opened it, we found the culprit for all of
Dotty's problems…… a sock!!
Dotty took several days to fully recover, but now she is back to the lively
happy Dalmation she was.
