Honey is a 9 month old ginger cat whose inquisitive tendencies managed to get her into a little bit of trouble!

Her owners brought Honey into the practice because she had been very quiet over the weekend, and struggled to eat.

On examination, we could see the end of a metal object at the back of Honey’s mouth. She was sedated and it was found that there was a sewing needle, with the thread still attached, stuck into the soft tissue at the side of her mouth.

The needle was easily removed and Honey has made a full recovery.

Her owner now ensures that no small objects, however unpalatable they appear, are left around the house to entice Honey.
