Taffy is a 5 year old black Labrador. While he was out for a walk with his owner on Monday, he got a fish hook stuck in his lower lip. The barbs make it impossible to pull a fish hook straight out, so Taffy was sedated so we could remove it.
Sedation involved Taffy being admitted for the morning, having a health check followed by an intravenous injection to make him deeply asleep.
His owner reports that after initially feeling rather sorry for himself he soon made a full recovery and was back to eating safer snacks!
