British Veterinary Nurse Awareness Month

11 May 2016

May is the British Veterinary Nurse Association’s (BVNA) ‘National Veterinary Nursing Awareness’ month. Here at Cogges Veterinary Surgery we employ seven qualified registered veterinary nurses, while three more are currently undergoing training.

The first person you usually see or talk to when visiting or contacting our practice is a veterinary nurse. Our nurses make your appointments, run clinics, give dietary advice, make recommendations for good parasite control for your pet and undertake a variety of administrative tasks.

Behind the scenes they are anaesthetists, radiographers, laboratory technicians, surgical assistants, phlebotomists, and much, much more. They will always give your pets their full attention, and still make time to give them a reassuring cuddle.
