The busy reception areaOn Sunday the 23rd of October, from 11 in the morning until 3 o'clock in the afternoon, Cogges Veterinary Surgery opened its doors (all of them!) to the public. We were lucky with the weather, and pleasantly surprised at the hundreds of people who came to see us. The feedback we received was incredibly positive and we thank you all for that.

We collected more than £300 for our 2 selected charities: The Oldies Club & Cat's Protection.

The children loved bandaging teddies and dolls, and listening to heart-beats using a stethoscope, as well as having their faces and arms painted by the incredible Carol.

Many of you (our visitors, our clients) expressed surprise at our facilities and modern, sophisticated equipment. All our demonstrations proved to be popular: ultrasound, x-rays, rabbits, operating theatre, laboratory, endoscopy, dental treatment etc.

Also very popular: the homemade cakes, and the tea and coffee!

The footprint competition was popular too. By the way, the answers were: Gorilla, Human, Duck, Elephant, Dog, Cat, Horse.

Bandaging in action'We thought you only went to the back or upstairs to have coffee!' This was something we heard quite frequently.

Well, now you know better, and you know much more about the professional approach we take in dealing with the maintenance of your pets' health.

Many of you did not

Thank you, everyone who helped make this a special day.
