Every day at Cogges we encounter an assortment of happy, sad, sick, and even healthy pets. Every patient has a story, and as soon as they walk in the door (often pulling the hapless owner along), we become part of their story. One of the most astonishing qualities these animals possess is optimism. Their good humour in the face of adversity, of pain and extreme discomfort, is truly amazing- they still manage to wag a tail, to purr, to crawl up for a cuddle; they still want to please us, to cheer us up. They are all heroes.
