What to Expect During Lockdown

Please phone the surgery on 01993 772627 to book an appointment.

On the day of your appointment:
If you have any symptoms of coronavirus (high temperature, cough or loss of taste/smell) or are under any instruction to isolate then we politely ask that you re-arrange your appointment.  If it is an emergency that cannot wait then please call the surgery (do not come down to the practice) and we will talk you through your options.

Arrival at the surgery

  • Please text 07956 367527 to let us know that you are here.  You need to include your animal’s name and the surname that they are registered under, and the time of your appointment.
  • Wait at the front door and you will be greeted by a member of our team.  You will be given a pager – WARNING: please let us know if you have a pace maker
  • Please wait in your car, or nearby if this is not possible
  • When the pager buzzes and/or vibrates, please make your way to the front door
  •  Before entering the building, you will be asked to sanitise your hands and your temperature will be checked using a forehead scanner.
  • We will then ask you to take a seat in reception.  We ask that you do not walk around in the waiting room as we are very limited on space.

After your consultation

  • Please head back outside and place your animal in the car if possible.
  • Make your way to the left-hand side of the building to the window.
  • A nurse or receptionist will dispense any medication and take payment.
  • While queuing here, please be mindful to stay 2 metres apart.

Ordering medication or food

Ordering medication or food

  • Please phone, e-mail or follow the links on your reminder text to order all food and medication.
  • We need a minimum of 2 working days’ notice but it is advisable to allow a little longer.
  • You will receive a text when your medication is ready to collect and the amount due.  You can pay this online via our website or at the practice.
  • For Purina food orders, we also have an online shop linked to our website.  These are charged at national prices and therefore will differ slightly from ours but provide next day home delivery.
  • When you come to collect your medication or food, please come straight round to the side of the building.
